This started as a little lockdown project to run my PS. Models locos and small industrial stock, as I don’t have a garden railway, and not a lot of room.
The layout is 100cm x 60cm in size. The track was 3D printed using the STL files from Loco Remote (http://www.locoremote.co.uk). The idea was to be able to view on all sides and get different view every time.
The ballast was done using cheap cat litter from Tesco, sieved to get rid of the larger pieces, and the scenics using products from a company called WWS Scenics.
The little shipping container was designed and printed by 3dwayne, and the hut was built using a Pendle Valley kit. The shed in the middle was the wooden packaging from an ornament, with some corrugated card on the roof then painted using rattle cans. Weathering paints by Vallejo were used for all the weathering.
The locos also include two 3D printed NS2F locos designed and printed by a friend, and a Bole Laser Craft Ruston, driven by a good friend of mine (recreated by Rob Bennett). All locos are controlled using Loco Remote WiFi controls.
Amazing, surely an incentive to younger modellers to give it try!
Brilliant!
