Membership is due for renewal at the end of February each year and we open our subscription system for online renewal for the coming membership year in early December. Shed Notices will carry an update when this happens.

Please note that once we open the system for renewal for the coming membership year, if your subscription has lapsed, it’s not possible to renew it online for the present membership year.  However, if you then renew your membership by the end of January, you’ll receive the February issues of SMT & Bulletin, the National Garden Railway Show Guide and the Annual Accounts.  Your membership will be valid until the end of February in the following year and you’ll receive everything we publish in the new membership year.

If you joined the Association online or have renewed your membership online in the past, you’ve already registered with our system, which is at www.mymagazinesub.co.uk/16mm. The login link is top right on the page. Use the email address and password you registered with, or the Forgotten Password link if you’ve forgotten it. Having logged in, on the Join tab, which is the default after successful login, you’ll see an additional button View Renewal Offers on the right hand side at the top of the Join tab.  Click this, select the subscription rate you want to renew at, add it to the basket then check out.

If you want to change to pay your subscription by Direct Debit as you renew, you can do this via our online renewal system.  You can also choose this before renewal time by completing our DirectDebit Mandate:

If you’ve never renewed your membership online in the past and have a Subscription Number (this is prefixed with “E00” and contains a further six numbers) , go to www.mymagazinesub.co.uk/16mm, click the Renew tab on ribbon on the home page (you may need to scroll down to see this), then click Find my Account on the Renewal Offers page.  Enter the last six digits of your Subscription Number, your postal or zip code and your surname to identify yourself to the site. Then follow the renewal steps to complete your renewal.  If the site cannot identify you and/or does not provide you with a renewal offer, don’t join as a new member, please contact Warners by email or phone as described below.

Please don’t renew your subscription by joining as a new member. Your existing member data including your membership number will be lost, you will need to re-enter all the data which we already hold and you will also pay the £3 new member subscription fee.

If you pay your subscription by Direct Debit, you can still register with the renewal system, which will confirm that you renew your subscription automatically so no further action is required on your part.

If by late January or early February your membership still needs to be renewed, invitations will be issued on the Association’s behalf by Warners Group Publications. To ensure that you receive the invitation, may also wish to add warnersgroup.co.uk to the Safe Domains in your email client or equivalent on your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you don’t know how, your ISP’s Help or Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page can probably assist. The invitation will include all the information you need to renew your subscription.

Shed Notices will carry an update when the invitations have been issued. If you think that you’ve missed the invitation, email Warners at 16mmNGM@warnersgroup.co.uk or phone them on 01778 392016 (outside the UK: +44 1778 392016). Lines are open 8:30am – 6pm Monday to Friday and 9am – 5pm on Saturdays and Bank Holidays, excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.

If your subscription has lapsed by more than a year, please email the Warners subscription team at 16mmNGM@warnersgroup.co.uk and tell them your membership number if you remember it, or the house number/name and postal code where you were last registered as a member. Warners will restore your lapsed membership record if available and help you to re-join the Association. Alternatively, phone them on 01778 392016 (outside the UK: +44 1778 392016).

If your situation doesn’t match any of the scenarios above, please email me at membership@16mm.org.uk and I will try to help. We never knowingly turn away someone wanting to re-join our ranks!
